(Sat.) The "OC Pavilion", Santa Ana CA - Thanks
so much for all who came out to see us at the OC Pavillion.
For those who could'nt make it was our first time there and
it was certainly an amazing venue to play. Everything was great.
I could honestly say it was one of the best venues we have played
in our whole career of playing such venues. This place wins
the top notch award . . . We were all astonished at the quality
of staff, stage, sound, and lighting systems. We were just amazed.
That's the best way I could put it. If you are a high caliber
band out there, who wants to play good venues, this is the place
to play. They (OC Pavilion Staff) treated our band and the other
bands with such class from the get go. Seemed like they were
there purely out of a servants heart for the music and the music
scene, but some how I knew it couldn't be true, at least not
entirely . . . At least our first go with OC Pavilion was certainly
impressive and very professional at the very least for the joint.
The staff was certainly great. Wow, and the green room, dressing
room, and the jazz lounge (the Vault) was an amazing idea. You
had to be there to believe it. Decor to the tilt. It was all
a-1 class to me and the rest of the band. While our set turned
out to be very good, I certainly owed alot of it to the sound
staff there. I had a crazy cold and the OCP turn my voice into
a style . . . cold and all. It ended up to be fun as heck being
up there and cold or no cold we gave it what we had to all who
wanted to listen to us. It seemed that our sincereity paid off
in a big way. We at least had a lot of fun and if we rock the
house while having some fun, that's almost all that matter.
We (also) felt our lyrics were getting throught to the crowd,
who were made up by a lot of bikers from a biker club "BFC"
. . . no not that"BFC", but Bikers for Christ. It was a pretty
loud and rockin house and I will never forget playing "One",
our randition of U2's One. It rocked the house and it was a
lot fun for me to do it. I think we'll keep it in our repitore
for shows to come . . . Anyway, it was an amazing night and
Union of Saints finished off the night with a blast. They rocked
as ususal. I will not ever forget the BFC pastor driving his
award winning (double barrel) exhaust piped chopper off the
stage at the start of the Union of Saints set. It was awesome
and it will leave a visual picture of rock and roll at OCP forever
in my memory banks. Wow!!! Thanks to all who came out and joined
us. Our next major show will be with Winger from the late 80's
and early 90's at the Famous Coach House . . . Stay tuned for
more.
8.05.06.
(Sat.) The "TOMfest"- It was great
being back up there at WA (Lacamas Conference Center) to to
rock and minister to lots of people. It was was a truely a ride,
literally. We decided to rent an RV and make it a small tour
trip of about 2400 miles or so . . . Sort of a TOMfest
Tour 2006. We had planned to do about 3 to 4 shows along
the way but lead guitarist (Marke) wanted to get on his vacation,
as soon as he got back. So we ended up doing 2 shows, one in
OR, in a small suburb of Portland called Milwaukie,
OR. The place, The River Road House, was a great little whole
in the wall. Then the next day we opened
for Emery on the main outdoor stage at TOMfest. It was a great
opportunity to do this trip and play at this great event, TOMfest,
not to mention, share our music there with a ton of people we
would have not been able to get to and to partake in a road
trip such as this, see the north-western pacific states (and
mostly the I-5), spend sometime growing together as a band,
take lots of pictures of our trip and promo pics, as well and
of course do something we all like to do, music. More
to come on this one . . .

(Thurs.) The Coach House - Again, it was
good to be back and opening for one of the best acts from the
70s . . . FOGHAT. Yes, you heard it right is was a blast opening
up for these guys. Not to mention nodding our hats off to our
bros Union
of Saints for putting on a great show as well. Of course
their message is right on. Right On! . . . More to come on
this . . .
11.06.05.
(Sun.) The Coach House - It has been a while
since we had played the Coach House. I believe the last time
we performed the House was back in 6.03. I kinda missed this
place and so did the rest of the band, whom had played here
before. It was a great place to play. This is were we began
our musical journey doing venues like this about 6 years ago.
Last time we played here, when we opened for Vanilla Fudge,
I remembered it being good, but this time we had a great time
as we were opening for Rainbow lead singer, Joey Tynn Turner.
With the almost newly renovated house (able to fit in about
550 people in the house) it was nearly filled to capacity. We
were the opening band, but we didn't care, because we were ready
to rock and share our hearts out to who ever was going to be
there that night. We sensed that our friends, family, and fans
alike were ready and wanting a good show . . . and they got
one, alright. It was our last and best show this year and so
we wanted to make it our best. We worked hard to get here. With
the help of returning of basist, Stevo Greenwood and new comer
lead guitarist, Marc Jenkins, we made our RIPPLEaffect
known to the audience and the world at large that we were going
to rock. At least in our little world in San Juan Capristrano.
We opened with one of our favorites "RIPPLEaffect"
(Winner of Best hard rock - OCMAs 2004) and proceeded to one
of our newsest tunes "Believe", which is a favorite
amongst our friends and fans. This new song is kinda like White
Stripes meets Remy Zero. It straight rock all the
way, no buts about it. We followed it with "Souls",
kinda Nirvanish and began our detuned (to 'D') section
of the set. "Palms Over", which is one of strongest
composed songs and is very Lifehouse, but certainly our
own B.o.H. form of Hard rock, has it's dark riffs with bright
introspective lyrics with alot of soul searching thinking. This
song leads into our last two detuned songs, "Confide"
and "MercySeat". "Confide" is very deep
and introspective, it's our most classic rock tune, yet speaks
to the heart. It has it's melodic, free-flowing leads with high
strung chorus'. It will be a great tune for our next project
to come. Finally, then comes "Mercy Seat" . . . this
song kicks some booty. It has a metal flavor, not sure what
we want it to be like, but we wanted it to sound heavy, with
a heavy message of realizing we can't do this thing of life
on our own. Overall, we heard many reviews that our set was
tight and rockin. We had a blast and we are looking to book
at the Coach House sometime early next year!

(Sat.) Streetlite Expresso Cafe, Huntington Beach,
CA. - This place was a happening rock and java
cafe' place. It was a pleasure to give sound to the walls of
this small cooffee house again. Located just a block away from
the Huntington pier, it allowed for an influx of passer-byers
and local bar hoppers looking for music and in this case looking
for some java. Of course, I am sure there were the regulars,
but who could not forget the friends, and family. We hate using
the word fan. We had a great time all of us, together. Check

(Sun.) Sing Sing Night Club, Irvine Spectrum, Irvine
CA (with NevadaSky). - The night was filled with
anticipation and excitement. The opportunity to play with NevedaSky
(formerly Str8nNarrow) was foremost in my mind and in the rest
of the band for that matter. We've been looking to play with
them for a while now. We went second in the order of the night,
right before NevedaSky. Skwid, drummer from Nev., who has sat
in with us before and who is a personal friend of ours, was
back stage prior to the show hangin' with us and just talking
small talk to relieve the show jitters all musicians feel before
a show. The great thing about playing with Nev., which we most
often don't get to do is, support each others band's ministry
and belief prespective. There are plenty of other bands out
there that we get to play with that are amazing musically, lyrically
and they have an amazing fan base and following. It is good
to draw wisdom and knowledge from them, but there is something
about having a spiritual camaraderie with bands like Nev. This
is not about judging or profiling all other bands, it's about
sharing something in common. Well, we made sure we had the best
set we could muster up that night to luanch off Nev. and we
did just that. The audience was alert and ready to rock and
ready to get fed too. We gave them the entrée, and Nev.
provided the main meal. It was a great night and we won't forget
the friendships we have built Nev. and and rest of the bands.

(Sun.) Sing Sing Night Club, Irvine Spectrum, Irvine
CA. - Playing at Sing Sing is a great experience
every band should have. Dave Starr, who heads up the weekly
event, and who also has his own band that plays there on occasion,
has made this place rock by putting together bands that rock!
This last time went second, which allowed us to get more playing
time. From sound check and on the audience (which is you) was
ready to rock with us. It was a good time for us to do some
ministry work, too. We were pump, cuz the night before we found
out we won "Best Hard Rock Band" for all of Orange
County at the OCMAs. So we were looking to make our mark that
night and we were pumped! Man as soon as we got going with sound
check, everybody was going off. It was exciting when you get
a large room filled with ready to rock folk. It just made us
want to give it our best and we couldn't let anyone down, could
we. It wasn't just about the show either, it was about whom
we were singing about, as well. It was about sharing from our
inner most selves and not being selfish. I think that's what
playing in a band is all about, anyways. It's about letting
go of who you are and sharing it with others, namely the audience.
And the greatest thing happens when the audience accepts it
for what it is. No judging. We get to share our wants, our fears,
our desires and faith through music and as long as we give it
willingly and passionately, people will take it in, no matter
if they believe or not, already. Then and only then can we begin
to minister. That was how Sing Sing was this night. It was amazing!
We are looking forward to playing there again. Check out the
venues page for date and times. AA

(Sat.) OCMA Show, Galaxy, Santa Ana, CA - B.O.H. Wins "Best
Hard Rock Band" - Yes! That's right B.O.H.
wins "Best Hard Rock Band" category. It was a great
evening, not just because we won, but because all the bands
that played were either very good or were amazing. Generally,
all the bands that played that night were last year's winners
in their categories. So we got to see a lot of good acts preform
their best stuff. Man, the High School band was great as well.
I wish we could play that well when I was in H.S. To make a
long story short, the evening was packed with some good stuff.
For more see B.O.H. News under OCMA's . . . Also, for pics see

(Thurs.) Temecula Valley Calvary Chapel, Temecula, CA -
Well, to begin with, we were late getting there because of the
long commute. However, it ended up turning into a good ministry
opportunity, to say the least. I believe there was a reason
why we were running late, although at the time it was more frustrating
than a blessing, if you know what I mean. When we finally showed,
right before starting time, we were asked by Lance Krewin (Youth
Pastor) to just use their equipment and forego setting up our
equipment. In the midst of all this, it seemed that people were
sticking around to check us out and stay for the youth rally.
We were ready just to take it to the next step and just be a
vessel for ministry sake. This was our first time there at TVCC
and we felt that God wanted to use us there. There was a reason
for all this to happen and Lance was testing us out and using
as he felt he needed to. We did some some old stand-bys and
mixed it up with a few of our originals. it was great pleasure
in meeting Lance and some the youth workers there. Thanks for
the oppportunity. AA . . . For pics see Venuespics.
3.07.04.
(Sun.) LA Marathon, Downtown LA, CA - The
day was an amazing hot day, yet it was inspiring to see all
the cyclists, walkers and runners of all shapes, sizes and of
all creeds and nationalities. The marathon which last about
25 miles, started in Downtown LA, winding around the city and
it's outskirting areas to finsh almost back where it started.
We were at mile marker 9.8, on Creshaw Blvd., in the Crenshaw
district. There was a good crowd of about 200- 300 or so for
most of the race near or around our station listening into what
we had to say, while the marathoners were racing. There were
friends who we hadn't seen for a while, in the race, along with
many new faces. As we played at sidewalk side, I couldn't help
but see the human spirit strive and be pushed to the limit.
Everybody seemed to want to test their own will, even to shear
exhaustion. We felt compelled to play long sets. While playing
one of our several long sets, we noticed that the runners were
intrigued to find a band in this district. They shouted out
on occasion "keep playing", as we were between songs,
to "Don't stop", or even "louder"! Most
of the time we'd get the thumbs up sign, as the runners would
pass by. Early on in our playing, I was moved by one parapeligic
rider who stopped right in front of us, while in the middle
of the street, sunk his face down to rest and listen to us play,
seemly, in order to regain his strength and mental composure.
After about a minute, he turned his head looked at us, and began
his racing, again. I will never be sure if he was looking just
to rest or if he was being touched by what we were sying. Whatever
the case, we did our best to minister. He simply brought to
mind why we were there, at that time. Sometimes we forget that
not all ministry has to be done within the walls of the church
facility. We were out where the rubber meets the road, literally.
it was a blast, too! Not to mention we got on the 12:00 o'clock
news. There were some benies. . . AA . . . For pics see Venuespics.
1.18.04.,
Sun., Sing Sing - Playing
at the SingSing was a real treat. I'd say it's one of the best
rock'n venus to see Live & Local acts from around Orange
County and it's boarders. I recieved many compliments for the
venue. Everybody said, almost 99.99 % of the people I know said,
they'd come back to see us play there and bring more friends,
because of the calibar of bands we played with and the venue
location. It was also great to see many familar faces in the
audience, along with their friends. Thanks for being there with
us and supporting this event. We owe you big time. The place
isn't that big, but Man, it's an exciting place to play. It
may only seat about 250-300 on a good night. Well, this night
was a good night. B.O.H. started things of with a bang. We did
everything we could to let people know that we were rock'n and
we were not going to let it down. We were going to make some
heads turn by allowing our talents shine . . . well, whatever
talents we had. B.O.H. was in the house! Also, it was the first
major show that our new Lead guitarist, Matt Risso and Bassist,
Steve Greenwood would join us and prove it to the Orange Co.
world they were meant be playing with this band and playing
on this public stage. Well, they did a great and I believed
we rocked the house together. Thanks Matt and Steve. The bands
we played with that night were as follows: Soul's
Voice, Adore,
DNR ,
and AltenateSideofLife.
All the bands were fantastic. It was great being on the same
bill as all of them. Looking forward to playing there really
soon. Thanks Sing Sing, and Dave who puts all these shows together.

1.17.04.,
Sat., The Moxie Java - Lately
the band has not been doing too many Coffee house gigs. For
many reasons too. We mainly do them for friends who can't come
to the club environment show, where there's lots of noise. So
we do a select few for you. You know who you are. At any rate,
The Moxie is a cool, but out of the way place in the MV burbs
area. They serve a great latte and we provide the music. This
last show there was basically a warm up show for Sing Sing,
which we played the following night. Also, we added some new
musicians to the band (Matt Risso and Steve Greenwood) and we
did our worship set that evening. We had a great time with our
friends and family, singing together and sharing some coffee.
Thank you to those who spent sometime with us that evening.
We appreciate your support. AA
8.30.03.,
TOMfest/Portico
- "The road to
TOMfest Tour" as we called it was our very first one. It
was short and sweet. Not to mention we got to see a lot of the
countryside that we wouldn't have if it wasn't for the shows
up north. I didn't think I'd see that many pine trees on the
way up. If you haven'tdriven up past Redding, CA you haven't
seen much in the way of beautiful pastures and rolling hills
filled with pine trees. Oregon is amazing and it's rivers are
to fish for. On the way up along the I-5, the Rogue River seemed
to be never less than a quarter of a mile wide with gushing
water, always endless. WOW! No matter what you heard of or seen
in pictures of or about Portland, OR, doesn't match with staying
there. The Skyline was amazing. I think next time we'd like
to set up a show in the city.

Oh,
I did forget about Salem. Well, enough of the countryside for
now. Let's get to the "musica". Salem is a sort of
suburb of Portland, even though it's about 45 minutes away.
The venue we were to play was a whole in the wall place, and
it was called The Triangle Inn. We got there late for sound
check and almost didn't get to play. When I checked in with
the lead person that night, I believe he was a little peeved
about our tardiness and all. He said he'd let us play if "we'd
put out" . . . well, I guess we did. We did our best and
I think we even made an impact in that little place. Pretty
much, locals seemed to gather there to visit with others and
we did get some others there just to catch our act. I believe
somehow and in some small way we made an impact and we were
used for a purpose there. We played for about an hour and 15
mins. and I believed we rocked the house! For the first time,
we tried one of our new songs, "Mercy Seat", which
we play with the E string de-tuned to "D". This song
is a little darker but with a lot of meat.. It went went over
like a charm. Overall The Triangle Inn was a great place to
play and we 'd like to go back and play next time we are in
Salem. It's a grooming ground for TOMfest.
On
the way to TOMfest (or Portico fest, as it is now called) in Stevenson,
the next day, was great - when we finally got turned around. We
kinda headed for Seattle, WA for a bit. At any rate, the city
of Portland and an it's waterways make by far one of the most
beautiful cities in the world. We happen to get good weather when
we were there. The Columbia River passes right through the beautiful
city. We followed it upstream to TOMfest about 45 miles, northeast.
This River was even more amazing than any river I'd seen. It must
have been at least a mile wide and no joking, it was. We took
plenty of pictures on the way back. We crossed the only bridge
there for miles. The bridge was called "The Bridge of the
Gods", which led the way into the Festival from there.
When
we arrived at the grounds, the festival didn't seem like much
at first. . . but we check around and soon realized it was a
cool place to be. Our stage and location was to be located in
a rustic looking horse arena, warehouse style, indoor stage.
The sound was well run by Carl and his crew, too. It was rustic,
but what the heck. If God can use a stable to be born, we can
use a horse stable to Rock! The band before us was Olivia, who
was just finishing up their set. I think they had a great rock
sound happening. After listening to their set we were pumped
and ready to put out. We loaded up and began our festival style
sound-check. As soon as we began to play, people began to pour
in to see who we were, since this was to be our first time at
TOMfest. We anticipate a OK response, because we were one of
the many first-timers there. We be started our set with . .
. here comes our set list!
Believe
(New), RIPPLEaffect (Released 2003), Mercy Seat (Latest
written), Souls (New), Simply Song (New) and GIVER
(released 2003).
We
really had a lot of fun playing on stage that day and I believe
it showed onto the crowd. Even some of the Olivia gang hung
out a bit to see our show. It was great to be there. I pray
that in some way we did our part of ministry and God did the
rest of opening up doors, minds and hearts. I believe that we
are simply useless, if we go to this kind of event just to impress
and really never give of what God has given to us as a band.
There were a lot of good bands that played there. Some with
the purpose of getting known. And that's OK . . . and other
just to minister. Ultimately, B.O.H. needed to just give what
we had and let God do the rest.
When
we were done with our set, I felt we did what we had set out
to do. We prayed that the impact was good. Our set was done
and we were off.
The
next few bands that followed were amazing. It felt good toknow
we were sharing the stage with these guys and others. I was
able to see a few shows. Ember
from Riverside, CA came up after us. They were pretty cool.
They had a Switchfootish sound to some of their songs and it
looked like they've done this before. Showbread
from Savannah, GA, came up soon after and man did they delivery
a performance, Wow! You'd have to check out there show when
they ever come to your town. Last band I really got to see was
Rock & Roll Worship Circus, from somewhere in the Northwest.
The band was an awesome Praise band with mix of 60's, 70's and
80's thrown together to make up a modern flavor of Rock &
Roll. They came across humble, yet up front about who they were
with God. Check their Website site out. I think you'll find
their form of Praise music refreshing.
All
in all, we were impressed by the quality of bands that were
playing this venue. For a slow year at the fest, it was too
bad that there was so many first timers playing, who could of
had much more exposure. But the good thing it's not about the
exposure, but about the ministry
7.17.03.,
PDW Conference. - The
Purpose Driven Worship Conference was a great opportunity to
play in front of hundreds of Clergy and Worship leaders from
across the country and even the world. It will be a day to remember
and not simply for the hot summer sticky day. We seemed to get
a lot of attention. We got to play in the midst many musicians,
song writers, and worship leaders. It was great meeting many
people that came by to talk with before and after each of the
sets. Everybody did well, and of coarse Shannnon (Basist) dress
in her conservative attire . . . shorts and a T shirt. However,
she rocked. We had Kurt "The Hammer" Hammernick, who
sat in on drums, due to JT's absence on this day. Kurt, who's
a pro at this, and who has played with many past musician greats,
did an awesome job. I can't think of a better drummer to fill
in and so happens he was available, too. Overall, The conference
has proven to be a good opportunity to minister and be seen.
Beside all that, we do it for an audience of one, anyway.

6.8.03.,
The Coach House. - The Coach House venue, San Juan
Capistrano, has always been one of our favorite places to play.
And by know means was this time around going to be any different.
We had a great time. We were opening up for one of the greatest
bands during the late 60s from New York, "Vanilla
Fudge". The opening band was"The
Gemtones" from just down the street from TCH. The power
trio, with two brothers and dad make up the band. It was a family
affair. Wow, could these kids play. Trevor (12) on drums, Ian
(14) on guitar with Dad Dave Sanders played a mix of rock &
roll to rock-blues and did it in an impressive performance.
They even did a Jimi Hendrix Tribute , led by Hendrix himself
. . . Oh, I mean, Ian, the "14" year old. Wow, they
were amazing. We then got up and did our power set, starting
with "RIPPLEaffect" (just released), followed by two
new tunes ("Believe" and "Souls") that were
a little more on the Nirvana-punk side of music. All I know
is I that we gave our all that night. The audience seemed to
go nuts. We knew we had a good show going when everybody was
jaming to our songs - and we were ministering at the same time,
too. I shared a little about my 2 year old niece, Danielle Ruth
Hallworth, who was diagosed with Leukemia on Sunday, 6.01.03.
then the band dedicated a song to her, "GIVER" from
our new release, which is a re-mixed and re-tracked song on
the new CD. We are praying for a great recovery process. (If
you want to know more about Danielle, see below). We finished
our set with two more new songs (to be on our next full fledge
project) "Through your Eyes" and "Simple Song"
(a raggea tune). I believe we played every modern style under
the mid-summer sun, or should I have said, "mid-evening
moon. JT Terusa, formally joined the band and did his first
outing at TCH. Stepping in at bass, for those single guys who
wanted to know who was the chick playing, is Shannon Bizzy from
Valencia. Joey Heshion became friends with Shannon while attending
G.T.I. and invited her to play. She did a tremendous job that
evening. and I think we'll keep her. Overall, everybody seemed
to have a great time and work together to jam. I believed we
ROCKED! Then, VANILLA FUDGE got up and played. It was awesome!
